Odisha Tour Package – 4 Nights / 5 Days (Golden Triangle)
Odisha — the ancient Kalinga — is one of India's most underrated travel destinations, housing the world's finest collection of mediaeval Hindu temples, pristine coastlines, Asia's largest coastal lagoon, and living tribal cultures. Our Odisha Golden Triangle tour package covers the three jewels of the state: Bhubaneswar (the "Temple City of India"), Puri (abode of Lord Jagannath), and the Konark Sun Temple (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). This 4-night package is our most popular option for first-time visitors from Kolkata, Delhi, Noida and other cities discovering Odisha for the first time.
Bhubaneswar – City of 700 Temples
Bhubaneswar, Odisha's capital and the entry point for most tours, was once home to over 7,000 temples and still has approximately 700 — many built between the 7th and 12th centuries in the exquisite Kalinga architectural style. The Lingaraj Temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva), though non-entry for non-Hindus, is viewable from a special viewing platform and is one of India's most spectacular temple complexes. The Mukteshwar Temple, a 10th-century gem of Kalinga art with an ornate torana (archway), is considered the "gem of Odishan architecture." The Odisha State Museum and Udayagiri-Khandagiri caves (Jain rock-cut caves from 2nd century BC) offer remarkable historical depth. Travellers from Mumbai, Bangalore frequently combine Bhubaneswar with Puri and Konark in a weekend-style trip.
Puri – Land of Lord Jagannath
Puri is one of India's four sacred dhams and home to the Jagannath Temple — one of Hinduism's most important pilgrimage sites. The annual Rath Yatra (Chariot Festival) in June-July draws millions of devotees from Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and across the world. Beyond its spiritual significance, Puri's Swargadwar Beach is a long, dramatic stretch of the Bay of Bengal with strong waves and spectacular sunrises. The Puri beach market is famous for Odisha's distinctive pattachitra paintings, stone carvings, and silver filigree jewellery. The Raghurajpur Craft Village nearby is a UNESCO-recognised heritage crafts village where artisans maintain centuries-old traditions.
Konark – The Sun Temple
The Konark Sun Temple, built in 1250 CE by King Narasimhadeva I, is designed as a colossal chariot of the Sun God — 24 intricately carved stone wheels pulled by seven horses, rising 70+ metres. Every surface is covered in extraordinary erotic sculptures that rival Khajuraho in artistic detail and mythological depth. The temple complex is so majestic and precise in its astronomical alignment that it is featured on India's 10-rupee note. The Konark Dance Festival each December showcases classical Odissi dance against the backdrop of the illuminated temple — one of India's most magical cultural experiences. Travellers from Jaipur, Lucknow, Indore consistently rate Konark among India's greatest archaeological wonders.
