Thailand Tour Package 2026 — The Land of Smiles, Beaches & Temples

Thailand is the perfect first international destination for Indian travellers — welcoming, affordable, visually stunning, and packed with unforgettable experiences. From the golden temples of Bangkok to the turquoise waters of Phi Phi Islands, the ethical elephant sanctuaries of Chiang Mai, and the dramatic limestone cliffs of Krabi, Thailand offers an extraordinary variety within a single trip. Luxytrix Travel's Thailand tour packages 2026 are crafted by our Asia experts to give you the perfect balance of culture, beaches, and adventure.

As the Best Travel Agency in Noida for Thailand packages, Luxytrix has served over 6,500 Indian travellers on Thailand tours. Our clients come from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Surat, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Indore — and they all return with the same verdict: Thailand exceeded every expectation. With direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore (4–5 hours), and no visa hassles, Thailand is incredibly accessible.

Bangkok — The City of Angels

Bangkok (Krung Thep) is one of Asia's most vibrant and exciting cities. The Grand Palace complex, built in 1782, houses the revered Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) — one of the most sacred sites in Thailand. Wat Pho across the street has the magnificent 46-metre reclining Buddha covered in gold. Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) rises dramatically from the Chao Phraya River and is most beautiful at sunset. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is the world's largest weekend market — 15,000+ stalls selling everything from handicrafts to street food. The Floating Market at Damnoen Saduak (80km from Bangkok) is a magical sunrise experience of boat vendors selling fresh produce and food on canals. Asiatique Riverside Night Market combines history (restored 1905 warehouses) with shops, dining, and a Ferris wheel. Khao San Road is the legendary backpacker street. Our Best Travel Agency in Mumbai clients particularly love Bangkok's energy — it never stops.

Phuket & the Andaman Coast

Phuket is Thailand's largest island and the gateway to the Andaman Sea's most famous destinations. Patong Beach is Phuket's most famous — long, lively, with water sports by day and vibrant nightlife at Bangla Road by night. Phuket Old Town is a hidden gem of colonial Sino-Portuguese architecture, boutique cafes, and colourful street art. The Big Buddha (45m seated white marble statue) is visible from across the island. But the real magic lies offshore. The Phi Phi Islands — immortalised as "The Beach" (the 2000 film with Leonardo DiCaprio) — feature Maya Bay with its dramatic limestone cliffs and crystal-clear water. James Bond Island in Phang Nga Bay (location of "The Man with the Golden Gun") stands alone in a glassy bay surrounded by limestone karsts — accessible by longtail boat or speedboat. Our Best Travel Agency in Bangalore clients rate Phuket as their favourite Asia beach destination.

Krabi — Railay Beach & Tiger Cave Temple

Krabi province features some of Southeast Asia's most dramatic landscapes. Railay Beach is accessible only by longtail boat (no road access due to surrounding limestone cliffs) — its seclusion makes it feel like a hidden paradise. The 4 Islands tour from Krabi covers Koh Poda, Chicken Island, Tup Island, and Mor Island — crystal water, white sand, colourful fish. Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Seua) requires climbing 1,237 steps to reach the hilltop shrine with panoramic views over Krabi — one of the most rewarding efforts in all of Thailand. Our Best Travel Agency in Ahmedabad clients call Railay Beach the most beautiful place they've ever seen.

Chiang Mai — Elephants, Culture & Night Bazaar

Chiang Mai is northern Thailand's cultural heartland — a city of ancient walled temples, lush jungle mountains, and world-class ethical elephant experiences. The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary offers an ethical half-day or full-day experience where you feed, bathe, and walk with rescued elephants in their natural habitat — no riding, no chains. This is the highlight of many travellers' entire Thailand trip. Doi Suthep Temple (1383 AD) sits at 1,676m above Chiang Mai with golden spires and stunning valley views. The Night Bazaar and Nimman Road offer excellent Thai handicrafts, hill-tribe textiles, and street food. Thai cooking classes in Chiang Mai (starting from ₹1,500 for 4 hours including market visit) teach you to make Pad Thai, Tom Yum, and Green Curry. Thai boxing (Muay Thai) shows are spectacular. Our Best Travel Agency in Hyderabad, Surat, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Indore, Kolkata guests consistently name the elephant sanctuary as their most memorable travel experience ever.

Thai Food, Massage & the Thai Experience

Thai cuisine is a world-class experience in itself. Pad Thai (stir-fried noodles), Tom Yum Goong (spicy prawn soup), Green Curry, Massaman Curry, Som Tum (papaya salad), Mango Sticky Rice, and Khao Man Gai (chicken rice) are must-tries. Street food from hawker stalls costs 50–80 Baht (₹120–200) for a full meal. Thai massage is legendary — a 1-hour traditional Thai massage costs just 300 Baht (₹750!) in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Foot massages, oil massages, and herbal compress treatments are widely available. Thailand's nightlife — from Bangkok's rooftop bars to Phuket's beach clubs — is world-famous.

Visa & Travel Logistics

Thailand has reinstated visa-free entry for Indian passport holders for stays up to 30 days (verify current policy before travel as it has changed multiple times). Alternatively, the Thailand e-visa is easy to apply online and processed quickly. Direct flights operate from Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore to Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang airports) and Phuket. Internal flights Bangkok–Phuket–Chiang Mai are affordable (from ₹2,500 one-way). The Thai Baht is the currency — 1 THB = approximately ₹2.50 INR, making Thailand very affordable for Indians.

6 Essential Thailand Travel Tips

Expert advice from Luxytrix's Thailand travel specialists

👟
Remove Shoes at ALL Temples
This is extremely important in Thailand. Remove footwear before entering every temple, even small ones. Many tourists get into trouble for being disrespectful at Buddhist sites. Also dress modestly — cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Sarongs are available to borrow at major sites.
🙏
Respect Buddha & Monks
Do not touch Buddha statues, climb on them, or pose irreverently for photos. Never touch a monk — women especially must not touch or hand anything directly to a monk. Pointing feet at sacred objects or people is considered rude. The Thai royal family commands utmost respect — any criticism is a serious legal offence.
🛺
Meter Taxis Over Tuk-Tuks for Long Rides
Tuk-tuks are fun for short, scenic rides but overpriced for longer distances. Always insist on the meter in Bangkok taxis — say "meter please" firmly. Grab app works brilliantly across Bangkok and Phuket. In Chiang Mai, Red Songthaew shared trucks are the local transport and very cheap (₹50–100 per trip).
💰
Bargain at Markets, Be Polite
Bargaining is expected at all markets (Chatuchak, Night Bazaar, beach markets). Start at 50–60% of asking price and negotiate with a smile. Never bargain aggressively or in anger — the Thai concept of "saving face" means a good-natured negotiation always ends better. Fixed-price shops and supermarkets do not bargain.
🪙
Carry Small Change for Offerings
Small coins (1–5 Baht) are used to make merit at temples — tossing into bowls, feeding monks. Having a supply of small change is useful for street food vendors, tuk-tuks, and random small purchases. ATMs are everywhere in tourist areas — withdraw in Baht directly. Exchange rates at banks and superrich money exchange counters beat airport rates significantly.
✈️
Avoid Red-Eye Flights, Arrive Daytime
Arrive in Bangkok or Phuket during daytime to maximise your first day. Red-eye arrivals at 5–6am mean wasted morning hours waiting for hotel check-in (usually 2pm). Luxytrix recommends morning or afternoon arrivals. If you must arrive early, book a hotel that allows early check-in (we arrange this as part of your package). Starting fresh sets the tone for a perfect trip.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your Thailand trip from India

Yes, Thailand is one of the safest countries in Southeast Asia for tourists. Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Krabi are all well-developed tourist destinations with excellent infrastructure. Crime against tourists is low. Thai people are famously friendly and helpful. Standard precautions apply: watch for pickpockets in crowded markets, be careful on motorbikes (helmet mandatory), and book activities through reputable operators like Luxytrix. Solo female travellers consistently rate Thailand as safe and welcoming.

Thailand has offered visa-free entry for Indian passport holders (30 days, check current policy) and also offers an e-visa option. The Thailand e-visa is applied online at the official Thai e-visa portal, requires passport copy, photo, return ticket, hotel booking, and bank statement showing sufficient funds (~₹50,000 for 2 weeks). Processing takes 3–5 business days. Luxytrix assists with all Thailand visa documentation as part of your package. Visa-on-arrival is available at major entry points but queues can be long.

We recommend starting in Bangkok for 2 nights, then flying to Phuket (1.5hr domestic flight). Bangkok gives you the cultural foundation of Thailand — temples, markets, floating markets, street food. Phuket and the islands are pure beach bliss. Ending in Chiang Mai (fly from Phuket or Bangkok) adds the jungle, elephants, and cool mountain air contrast. This Bangkok → Phuket → Chiang Mai route is Luxytrix's most popular Thailand itinerary and gives you the best of all three worlds.

Thailand is very affordable for Indians. Budget per day (excluding flights): Budget traveller: ₹2,500–3,500/day (guesthouses, street food, local transport, cheap activities). Mid-range: ₹5,000–8,000/day (3-4 star hotels, mix of restaurants, tours included). Luxury: ₹15,000+/day (5-star resorts, private tours, fine dining). Street food meal: ₹100–200. Thai massage 1hr: ₹750. Beer: ₹200. Phi Phi Islands day tour: ₹3,500. Luxytrix packages from ₹35,999 per person (twin sharing) include hotels, breakfasts, domestic flights, and major tours.

Thailand's best beaches: West coast (Andaman Sea): Maya Bay on Phi Phi Islands (most Instagrammable), Railay Beach Krabi (only accessible by boat), Kata Beach & Kamala Beach Phuket (calmer than Patong), 4 Islands Krabi (snorkeling heaven). East coast (Gulf of Thailand): Koh Samui (Chaweng Beach), Koh Tao (best diving in Thailand, cheapest Open Water certification globally), Koh Phangan (famous Full Moon Party). The west coast (Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi) is best November–April; east coast (Koh Samui, Koh Tao) is best April–October when the west coast has monsoon.
