Leh Ladakh Tour Package — Journey to the Roof of the World
Leh Ladakh is not just a destination — it is a transformative experience. Perched between 3,000m and 5,400m above sea level in the northernmost reaches of India, Ladakh is a land of extraordinary contrasts: barren moonscapes and turquoise lakes, ancient Buddhist monasteries and modern adventure activities, piercing blue skies and roaring rivers. Luxytrix Travel's Leh Ladakh tour packages 2026 bring this bucket-list destination within reach for travellers from Noida, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and every corner of India.
Our Ladakh packages are designed with safety first — acclimatisation is built into every itinerary, Inner Line Permits for Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake are arranged by Luxytrix, and our experienced Ladakhi drivers know every mountain road. Guests from Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chennai, Kolkata, Surat, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Indore consistently rate our Ladakh packages as the journey of their lifetimes.
Pangong Tso — The Colour-Changing Lake
Pangong Tso is one of the world's highest salt-water lakes at 4,350m, stretching 134km between India and China (60% lies in Tibet). The lake famously featured in the Bollywood film "3 Idiots" — but no movie can do justice to the reality of watching this lake shift through shades of deep blue, turquoise, green, and silver as clouds pass overhead. The drive to Pangong via Chang La Pass (5,360m — one of the world's highest motorable passes) is itself a dramatic high-altitude adventure. Overnight camping at Pangong under the Milky Way is an unforgettable experience offered in all Luxytrix Ladakh packages.
Nubra Valley — Sand Dunes, Camels & Monasteries
Nubra Valley sits north of Leh, accessed via Khardung La Pass (5,359m) — one of the world's highest motorable roads. The valley floor features one of the world's most surreal landscapes: golden sand dunes in the shadow of snow-capped Karakoram peaks, roamed by Bactrian double-humped camels. Diskit Monastery (14th century) dominates the valley with a giant Maitreya Buddha statue visible for kilometres. The village of Hunder and its dunes are the highlight for most visitors — a camel ride here feels like being teleported to a different planet.
Khardung La — World's Highest Motorable Road
Khardung La at 5,359m is frequently cited as the world's highest motorable road, though this claim is debated with a few other passes. Regardless, the drive through Khardung La offers an exhilarating high-altitude experience with snow banks, prayer flags, and views over the Indus Valley. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) maintains this strategic military road — a feat of engineering that also allows civilian access. Luxytrix vehicles are specially maintained for high-altitude driving with supplemental oxygen available on request.
Hemis & Thikse Monasteries — Buddhist Heritage
Hemis Monastery, Ladakh's largest and wealthiest monastery, houses a remarkable collection of thangkas, stupas, and ancient manuscripts. The Hemis Festival held in June/July is one of the most spectacular masked dance festivals in the Himalayas — a celebration of the birth of Guru Padmasambhava that draws visitors from around the world. Thikse Monastery, 19km from Leh, is often compared to the Potala Palace in Lhasa — an 11-storey complex with a magnificent golden Buddha (Maitreya) at its heart. Shey Palace, Shankar Monastery, and Stok Palace complete Leh's remarkable Buddhist heritage circuit.
Tso Moriri & Magnetic Hill
Tso Moriri is a pristine high-altitude lake (4,522m) in the Changthang region, far less visited than Pangong and perhaps even more beautiful in its complete solitude. Bar-headed geese and brahminy ducks breed on its shores. The Magnetic Hill near Leh is a gravitational anomaly where vehicles appear to roll uphill — a fun stop that has delighted travellers for decades. Hall of Fame museum near Leh tells the story of Indian Army operations in Ladakh — a must-visit for understanding this strategic region.
Acclimatisation — The Most Important Advice
Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) is a serious risk in Ladakh. EVERY Luxytrix Leh itinerary includes a MANDATORY rest day on Day 1 of arrival. Symptoms of AMS include headache, nausea, dizziness, and shortness of breath. If symptoms are severe, descent is the only cure. Luxytrix recommends: (1) Consult your doctor about Diamox (acetazolamide) before travel; (2) Avoid alcohol for the first 48 hours; (3) Drink 3–4 litres of water daily; (4) Do not rush at altitude. Travellers from low-altitude cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad need particular care.
